It depends on how well you like it cooked. A fillet is normally cooked med. rare, but tastes vary. The cooking time will vary depending on how hot you have your flame and if you're using gas, charcoal, or wood. Don't cook it at too high of a temp, or it will char the outside, and the inside won't be done enough. Cooking at a lower temp. will also make the steak more tender.

cooking chicken drumsticks on outdoor gas grill?

I make chicken drumsticks on the outdoor gas grill. First i boil it in water until its done, and then i spray the racks well on my outdoor gas grill with pam and heat the grill. The problem i am having is, when i put the chicken on the grill and turn the drumsticks to brown the other side, the chicken sticks to the grill rack and i wind up losing lots of the chicken since it sticks to the racks. How can i prevent this from happening? Thanks for any advice.

dont move the chicken until it is thoroughly brown..after that it will easily let go of the grill..you are moving it too soon...

Using a 30lb Propane tank for the outdoor BBQ Grill?

Has anyone used a 30lb propane tank for an outdoor BBQ Grill? The book says to use only 20lb tanks, but the pressure appears to be same for a 30lb tank, so why not use a bigger tank for that outdoor grill, I would think the built in BBQ Grill regulator would keep the pressure safe, and that way you have more fuel for your grill (Less refills)? Thoughts/Ideas/Suggestions?

You can use a 30lb if you want but most BBQ frames store the tank underneath, and 30lb tanks are signifigantly taller and generally don't fit. However, if a 30lb tank fits your unit, go right ahead. No safety concerns etc.

what kind of outdoor grill should I buy that will be easy to clean?

I've got to buy a new grill this summer, and I always have hated cleaning the grill, so am wondering if there's something out there that will easier to clean.

Assuming you mean a gas grill, the "grate" on the grill is what you should be concerned with. All grills will need to be cleaned, however some are less maintenance than others. The best bet is to buy a porcelain coated grate that will resist build up or a cast iron grate. The cast iron grate is always considered to be the best grate because of its even cooking properties.

Here's what you can do to make any grill easier to clean:

1. Spray your grill with Pam brand non stick spray for BBQ grills (Pam cooking spray makes this wonderful product) before every BBQ or
2. Take a wedge of onion and run it across the grill while pressing it into the grill slats. This helps but I prefer the Pam product.
3. Don't let too much build up ever occur (my mistake)
and finally my favorite is
4. Home depot sells replacement grill inserts for $6-11 and sometimes its worth just throwing the other one away :)
